The secret elephant societies is bit far fetched but if that did happen it could link to robots. This is because robots might try to take over the world. He talked about elephants doing that. the elephants had limitations by having only one kid after 22 months of pregnancy. Robots would also have limitations the don't reproduce so there population would slowly decline.

The great bath was a huge bath that was most used for spiritual cleansing. The people of that city's lives were likely centered around it. what are lives today and what are lives in the future will be centered around is the internet. this is getting smaller just like bathes get smaller.
